Cassandra Varner
Hi! I am so glad you are here. I understand the decision to seek therapy is oftentimes not an easy one, and I am grateful that you are taking this step. I look at each day as a new beginning; therefore, a new opportunity for us to become a greater version of ourselves. I am dedicated to providing a safe space instilled with compassion, trust, and empathy for each of my clients.

I have extensive experience working in community mental health where I treated various mental health issues prior to moving into private practice. My specialities include work related to trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship and family dynamics, coping skills, and existential issues-- areas in which I have received additional credentialing and education. Additionally, I have earned certification in sexual assault prevention and advocacy, and suicide prevention. I am certified to provide trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and continue to pursue additional training in order to provide the most current treatment modalities for post traumatic stress and other mental health-related issues.

My Philosophy
I provide therapy through a comprehensive approach– encompassing your mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing. I consider each of these components through my work and their unique role in each client’s life. My approach is tailored to fit your needs and assist you in identifying patterns of thought and behavior in order to gain insight on your current self. I believe that therapy is not a “one size fits all" and each client deserves the opportunity for their therapist to carefully, and deliberately, consider the best approach to promote greater overall wellness.

I believe that a person's lived experience is sacred and I feel honored to be given the opportunity to listen and provide a space of understanding. I encourage you to take this next step in your journey. I look forward to our work together.
